A 32-year-old woman is dead and two men are in hospital with serious injuries after a single vehicle crash on Lake Simcoe, police say.
Officials were called to the Thorah Island area of Lake Simcoe around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police say a pickup truck with five people inside was travelling on the frozen lake when it struck a break in the ice causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and the truck flipped over.
Several people were thrown from the vehicle.
Police say the woman was found without vital signs.
Ornge officials said they transported one man to Sunnybrook in critical condition, suffering from injuries to his head and arms.
The other man rushed to a local hospital and then also airlifted to Sunnybrook with serious injuries.
Police say the two other occupants of the vehcie suffered non-life threatening injuries.
